I'm a little late posting this, but....
Just about a week ago, my wonderful husband hit the big 30! To celebrate, we saw X-men first class with my family, had friends over for some games, a movie, and ice cream cake. AND we were able to have dinner and more cake and ice cream with his sweet family! Really a fantastic weekend and wonderful celebration!
We wanted to thank everyone who came to celebrate with us, and all those who have made this year of life great! We're certainly looking forward to another one!
Now, I must take some time to brag. The ice cream cake mentioned above...was homemade.... by ME! I baked the cake, whipped the ice cream, and decorated the cake all by myself. Chocolate cake layered and covered in ice cream with chocolate syrup to make pretty! I will definitely post pictures of the beauty soon!
Blog Description
This is a space for dream words, love words, flying words, fall down, and get up words. First it begins inside your heart. Something moves, opens, frees itself. And now you feel a rhythm breaking it's long silence. This is going to be good. Be creative. Be generous. Be bold. For it is here that we begin to tell our story.

It seems we have a confession to make. It just can't be kept secret any longer...
We are complete,
We are complete,
and
total...

Gifts of 2011
We began our year with our engagement, spent the following couple months in preparation, and on April 7th we were married and began our journey through life together. We couldn't be happier...!
But wait! There's more!
Tiave's beautiful niece, Emmalani was baptized on April 31st in Las Vegas, NV. We were lucky enough to spend the weekend there and witness the happy event. We're so proud of her!
Soon after that... my big brother, Russell arrived home from serving his mission! We've missed him so and are so proud of him and extremely happy to have him home! Though his outdoor welcome party was ruined by the wind, and his WELCOME HOME sign turned into a torn WELCO H OME, we enjoyed our time with him indoors. He's not quite used to being off the mission yet, but, he'll get there!

Speaking of brothers... my little one is getting baptized soon! He'll turn 8 at the end of this month and the baptism will follow shortly after. Lovin' that little guy! He may be kinda wild, but he has such a sweet spirit, and he's so excited for his special day!
But wait...there's even more!
My big sister, Lyndsie is getting married in June to the love of her life, Tim Gustovson (sp?). We're so glad she's found someone that really loves her, that she can love in return! Their wedding will be simply beautiful. We're excited for the big day.
6 months into the year we will have 2 engagements, 2 weddings, and 2 baptisms. What more could a family ask for???
We love our family and are thankful to them for all of their love and support!
Much love to you all! Blog at ya later!

The Big Day: a sneak peak
Just before the ceremony began...
During the ceremony...
Just after the ceremony... we love these people and are so thankful for their love and support that they have given us in all our endeavors, especially our relationship together.
During the ceremony...
(I know it's sideways... I don't know how to fix it.... )
Exchanging rings.
Just after the ceremony... we love these people and are so thankful for their love and support that they have given us in all our endeavors, especially our relationship together. And then it was time for pictures... pictures... and more pictures...
He peaked up my dress... and I was falling. Can anyone say EMBARRASSED?!?!

Viva Honeymoon!!!
First of all, we'd like to say a big THANK YOU for everyone's support in our new marriage! We were so happy to see so many of our friends and family at the reception!
After our perfect day and a relaxing night, we left for Las Vegas!!! We arrived at the fabulous Excalibur Hotel just in time to check in, and head down for their fabulous dinner show, The Tournament of Kings!
There were princes, jousting, races, and even a fight against an evil dragon man. Quite the spectacle! Plus, we were able to enjoy a fabulous meal of tomato soup, cornish hen, broccoli, potatoes, biscuits, and an apple turnover. No silverware. Just our hands! Hazzah!!! So much fun!
The next day we got to go see The Lion King! An absolutely stunning production! The way they created the animals and really brought them to life was breathtakingly amazing. Sorry, no pictures. No cameras allowed. But, take my word for it, it was fantastic.
It was slightly chilly that evening, but we went out and walked the strip for a bit anyway! Got to see the water show at the Bellagio, the volcano show at the Mirage and the Sirens at Treasure Island! All three were a lot of fun to watch, but the water show was probably my favorite!
We were able to spend some time with his family as well while we were out there. It was wonderful to BBQ with everyone together in the sunshine. Though it wasn't quite warm enough to swim, it was nice to be outside!
Now we're home, and though we miss the weather and the vacation, we're happy to be home and still absolutely in love.
Much love to you all! And more to come from our little Matagi family.
