Baby Shower Project

My dearest friend is blessed to be pregnant with a baby girl! I am so excited for her and I am looking forward to meeting little Arlee when she comes in just a few weeks!


We are throwing her a baby shower, and here are a few of the fun things we will be doing/making...

I found this adorable cake on Pinterest the other day and could not resist. My mother amazing mother is helping get it all baked, shaped, and decorated. I'm hoping it turns out well. If it does, I'll post a tutorial for those of you who think it is as cute as I do. Come on.... Look at that little foot!

These sweet little things are just perfect for how adorable this mommy to be is. And they remind me of summertime... which I miss terribly.

These will be at a table for friends and family to fill in the blanks. They say...

What a sweet thing to have in a scrapbook for this little girl as she grows up. She will always have a reminder of the many people who have loved her from before she was even born.

My Belated Valentine

My Valentine had to work late on February 14th this year, so we got to celebrate a little late.
It.
  Was.
    Awesome.

We got to eat here for lunch. Yum. And much cheaper than dinner.

And then we got to play here! Also inexpensive and so much fun!



 Neither place was packed with a crowd and we had such a good time together! After the arcade, we picked up a new expansion for our current favorite game, Carcassone. So when the house is ready, you can all come over and play games.

What we learned: Tiave is an amazing virtual jumproper and as much as I love to jumprope... I'm not very good, He's proud of me when I do things like win racing games or get the 40pt bonus... even if it means I just kicked his butt to do so, and We are both like little kids in a candy store when we walk into an arcade.

I told someone about this date and they said "Isn't that very... 3rd date ish?"
And I said... "Yes, yes it is."

Dinner and a movie is great for date night...and it's good to get out, no matter what you do... but sometimes you just have to spice it up a little! Renew that excited-butterflies-in-your-stomach kind of love that you had on your 3rd date.

I love my husband more and more every day in so many different ways than I ever could have imagined.

I hope all of your days are blessed with happiness, joy, and love.
I hope that you enjoy your husbands/wifes/girlfriends/boyfriends/significant others for all that they are.
I hope those of you without significant others find a love to breathe in every day and fill you with life.

After many hours of searching and prayer and counteroffers and contracts... our offer was accepted. As of March 1st, this will be our new home.

Obviously, the wallpaper needs to go.

Loving the fireplace for a couple reasons... 1-keep my heating bill down, 2-marshmallows, 3-books, 4-it's a fireplace... 'nuff said.

As much as I'm a fan of dusty rose... I think we'll be painting this spacious master bedroom. Especially considering that behind those beautiful closet doors is solid Navy Blue.

This beautiful bathroom is the master bath. I actually like the teal paint and will probably paint the wood black and get a new toilet seat cover. I have major plans for this area.

This is our basement room. Yes, that is a Murphy bed that folds in/out of the wall. Win.

Washroom. Through the bathroom. All tile, all new.

3rd Bedroom.

3rd Bathroom. Don't know what we'll do here yet. But something. Definitely something.

Last but not least, the garage. A place for Mia (the motorcycle) and Tidus (the montero)

All of my creative friends, I am currently accepting ideas on how to decorate. I currently have pinterest on my side, but I would love any input you may have on paint, wall decor, furniture arrangements, etc.

House Hunting

We ended 2011 and began 2012 with the search for a place to call home.

We have seen many Beautiful things. But we have also seen...

Cluttered Garages...

Extreme wall colors...

Unfinished work...

And sooooo much ugly carpet.

Needless to say.. If you think you're weird or have weird taste... just go house hunting. In comparison... you will feel more than normal. Trust me... We do.

K.T. Matagi Family Reunion

It was freezing cold, but we wouldn't let that ruin our fun! The boys (and some of the girls) played a lot of pool inside and even some horseshoes on the deck.

As for the girls... Mostly we stayed inside. Especially me...

Mamma showed off her true karaoke talents,

Auntie Pua wouldn't put down her silly camera,

            and the kidrens ran around like crazy people playing air hockey, board games, and other nonsense.                                  

All of us together was a little crazy, but definitely worth all the hard work that was put into this reunion.
